 Hey, my name is Austin Whitesell. I’m attending school at Southeast Middle School
and I’m in the 8th grade. Some of my favorite sports are
basketball, lacrosse, and skateboarding, and I just started wrestling with
my school team. I have two dads, two moms, three brothers, two sisters,
two nieces, and an upcoming niece or nephew. Two years ago I first played
basketball on the Nexus Athletics team. I really liked the team; we had
great players and a great coach. We ended up losing most of the regular
season games, then winning the championship, which proves that things
don’t always finish the way they start.
I
played for the same team the following year and it was just as much fun.
This team was a lot different from all of the other teams that I have played
for because it wasn’t all about winning, it was about “play to play”, and it
was also a good religious team. If someone is looking for a team to play on
where you won’t sit on the bench for missing a shot, and everyone always has
fun, this is the team to play for. I thank my coaches for giving me an
opportunity to play on this great team.
